Mark Christensen

Mark is the Studio Owner and Chief Mastering Engineer at Engine Room Audio in New York City. He opened the New York Audio Academy, hosted at Engine Room Audio, to help bring up the next generation of audio engineers.

Mark leads masterclasses on Acoustics, Studio Design, Microphones, Mastering, Characteristics of Sound, Hybrid Mixing, Compression and Limiting, Intro to Music Business, Session Etiquette, Critical listening, and Introduction to Surround Sound.

Greg Fils-Aimé

Greg is a producer, keyboardist, and engineer who spent nearly 10 years in the New York City music scene before settling down at Engine Room Audio. After graduating from SUNY College of Oneonta with a degree in Music Industry, he landed an internship in the A&R Department at Island Def Jam Music Group working on projects for acts like Ne-Yo, Kanye West, Ludacris, Duffy, and Fall Out Boy.

Greg is a 1-on-1 mentor at NYAA and leads masterclasses on Hybrid-Mixing, Vocal Production, and Vocal Tracking.

Meg Mishkin

Joining us all the way from Venezuela, Meg is a Brooklyn-based live tracking and mixing engineer. Starting out as an Assistant Engineer at Power Station & The Bunker Studios, she is now an engineer at different studios in the city while working as an A2 at the Barclay’s Center. Her ability to work with a variety of big bands and orchestral groups has fueled her love for instrumentality and the world of analog. She implements this love while teaching her courses at NYAA and in her own artistry. 

Meg is a 1-on-1 mentor at NYAA and leads masterclasses on Band Tracking, Compression/Limiting, Microphone Placement/Technique, and hosts the Protools Office Hours session weekly for students to have their tracking, mixing, and workflow questions answered

Edgar Aguilar

Edgar attended Omega Recording Studios School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences, where he learned Audio Engineering and Production. He moved to NYC and started off as an intern at Engine Room, where he worked his way up to Engineer and Operations Manager. Edgar specializes in Hip Hop, R&B, & Latin Urban. 

Edgar is a 1-on-1 mentor at NYAA and leads masterclasses on Beat Making and production with Maschine.

Patrick Fruehling

Pat, graduated from Muhlenberg College with a business degree. He then discovered a deep passion for audio engineering while recording drums and demo tapes for his own musical projects. Combining his expertise in business, music, and technology, Pat built a clientele and relocated to Manhattan, gaining valuable experience in renowned studios across the city. Today, Pat excels in live studio band recording, collaborating with diverse artists to create exceptional music.

Pat is a 1-on-1 mentor at NYAA and leads masterclasses on Band Tracking, Hybrid Mixing, Micing Drums, and Vocal Tracking.

Trae Delago

Trae is a skilled audio engineer and producer hailing from New Jersey, boasting extensive experience across diverse music genres. He is adept with Ableton Live, Logic Pro X., and ProTools.

Alessandro De Gennaro
